Co-located Events
Questions regarding the co-located events should be directed to the organizers of the specific event.
Please note that for most of the events there is a reduced attendance fee for those also registered for the main Eurographics conference.
Eurographics Symposium on Parallel Graphics and Visualization (May 2-3, 2010)
The Eurographics Symposium on Parallel Graphics and Visualization (EGPGV) is the premier international event focusing on parallel graphics and visualization technology, where novel solutions exploiting and defining new trends in parallel hardware and software architectures are presented. The aim of the symposium is to strongly encourage exchange of experiences and knowledge in parallel and distributed visual computing and its application to all aspects of computer graphics and data visualization.See the symposium Web-pages http://www.egpgv.org/egpgv2010 for details.
Eurographics Symposium on Volume Graphics (May 2-3, 2010)
Volume graphics deals with the analysis, synthesis and presentation of volumetric phenomena, both static and time-varying. Specifically, it includes topics related to the acquisition, reconstruction and transformation of volume data as well as feature analysis, information extraction and rendering. It is capable of representing solid and soft objects, interiors as well as surfaces, and synthesizing graphical images in a true 3D manner. It is the premier international event on Volume Graphics and the symposium will continue to explore the potential of volume-based techniques beyond the scope of volume visualization as it is currently practiced.See the symposium web-pages http://www.eurographics2010.se/vg2010 for details.
Eurographics Workshop on 3D Object Retrieval (May 2, 2010)
The aim of this workshop is to stimulate researchers from different fields (computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, human-computer interaction, semantic web) who work on the common goal of 3D object retrieval, to present state-of-the-art work in the field and thus provide a crossfertilization ground that will stimulate discussions on the next steps in this important research area. Please see the workshop Web-Pages http://www-rech.telecom-lille1.eu/3dor for details.
Visual Forum 2010 (May 3, 2010)
Visual Forum is an annual forum for visualization in Scandinavia - a conference with seminars and an exhibition focusing on the use of visualization as a means to support understanding, communication, decision-making and imagination. Center of Visualization Göteborg is behind Visual Forum and Norrköping Visualization Center is organizing this VF2010, the fifth in the series. For each year the conference has increased in size and importance. The aim of VF2010 is to offer a meeting place across the different sectors and disciplines where different actors and users can meet to exchange knowledge, experience and ideas.
VF2010 is organized in co-operation with leading actors in selected application areas, preliminary:
- Medicine and Health Care
- Media, Information and Documentation
- Industrial Design and Simulation
- Global Weather and Climate
- Architecture with Building Construction and Management
Workshop on Inverse Problems and Applications (May 3, 2010)
The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers from inverse problems and computer graphics, who work on applications in image processing, medical images and computerized tomography. The aim is also to foster greater exchange of experiences and knowledge of applying inverse problems in computer graphics and scientific visualization.Participants are also invited to present state-of-the-art research in other areas of inverse problems, such as regularisation methods, parameter identification problems and other ill-posed problems for PDE's.
Please see the workshop Web-Pages http://ipa.itn.liu.se/ for details.
